OUROUMA, LEBANESE OLIVE OIL BRAND
a brand to support organic Lebanese olive oil production and farmers
LOGO
The middle east’s olive culture is known to be perfected by the Phoenicians and then shared with the rest of the world. OUROUMA means the base/origin of the tree. To illustrate the origin and distribution of the culture that Lebanese olive agriculture still holds, a ”bud” the small part which the plant develops from, was added to each letter in the logo. The letters have an organic simple shape reflecting the mood of the product.
PACKAGING
Since such a product is theoretically supported by an NGO and expected to be packaged by the farmers, the packaging used is traditional however made with white translucent paper reflecting the clean quality of the oil and its transparent effect. Each Farmer would have his name and the geographic of the land mentioned to give each bottle of olive oil purchased a story. To add a further human touch and uniqueness on the hand made product, a tag is added, allowing the farmer to handwrite the number of his bottles and track his stock.
LAUNCHING CAMPAIGN
1- A teasing campaign, portraying a simple question “What’s the difference”, to focus on a later stage how this organic product differs from other brands.
2- Launch of a social media competition through a live activity under the title of “Find The Olive Branch” in a collaboration with restaurants in order to create more awareness about the product.
